JOB TITLE:  

DIGITAL MARKETING AND CRM EXECUTIVE


RESPONSIBLE TO:

DEALER PRINCIPAL


OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

The Digital Marketing Executive is an integral member of the dealership team as the company’s resource on all things digital! Responsible for contributing to the development of strategy and solutions related to our digital marketing, as well as the execution of our daily digital marketing.  This includes website development, online promotions, retail campaigns, SEO/SEM strategies, CRM data management, email campaigns, social media and more, with the ultimate goal of increasing the company's online presence and business growth.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle all our requests for web and digital projects
  • Maintain the dealership website and microsites
  • Manage website chat response and engagement
  • Generate web content for dealership
  • Maintain monthly digital sales offers and vehicle specials
  • Edit pictures and videos – vehicle walk-arounds for YouTube etc.
  • Optimize web pages, and implement SEO practices for best SERP organic results
  • Execute social media outreach strategies and post on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers for used car listings, content suppliers, etc.
  • Execute online promotions, online contests and events
  • Execute e-blasts and targeted online campaigns
  • Write and deliver digital promotional materials
  • Generate and monitor regular reports on web analytics and performance
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with department managers, and dealership staff
  • Provide additional advertising & promotions support as needed


REPORTING

  • Deliver regular performance reports for all digital  activity – including email, website performance, search engine optimization (SEO), Pay per click (PPC) activity, social media and other digital marketing activity as appropriate, providing analysis, insight and clear improvement recommendations
  • Determine, report on and analyze a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive and measure our digital growth


EMAIL

  • Work with the Sales and Aftersales teams to plan and coordinate an on-going program of email activity
  • Identify and implement a test and learn strategy to improve response and conversion for all email communications
  • Optimize the design, content, layout, and messaging of all email communications
  • Build HTML emails and deploy campaigns


SEARCH

  • Working with and manage the external media agencies to plan, deliver and evaluate a program of PPC activity.
  • Identify link-building opportunities and campaigns, provide insight into keyword targets, and conduct competitor/market analysis


CRM

  • Plan and deliver an e-CRM strategy and program
  • Optimize the DMS database data segmentation for campaign and trigger-based email and telephone activity
  • Monitor and work to minimize unsubscribe/bounce rates and ensure European Data Protection Regulation and Compliance and minimize spam risk


DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Ensure that our website is kept up to date
  • Develop and deliver a social media strategy with clearly defined timelines, and write content for dissemination via our own and our franchise  
  • Amplify all events through social media channels via news, blog posts, and other marketing initiatives
  • Build our effective reach through all social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest and Google
  • Manage, build and increase digital mailing lists
  • Produce and distribute regular e-news updates
  • Create engaging content in all media formats
  • Support and engage with all Friends, Followers and subscribers
  • Report on the impact of our social media strategy and activities and define our key success factors


GENERAL

  •  To carry out any other duties as reasonably directed from time to time by the Dealer Principal.


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience as a digital/web specialist or e-marketer
  • Excellence in digital retail marketing and online campaigns
  • Expertise in content management platforms, as well as creating, developing and maintaining numerous websites
  • Proven success in SEO and SEM
  • Proven success in social media engagement
  • Solid experience in overall coordination and project management for digital projects
  • Excellent ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with experience in design tools an asset (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and video creation skills a strong asset
  • Relevant degree, diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Automotive and retail experience, and working with automotive CRM software preferred
  • Able to design e mail marketing templates and campaigns to ensure cross browser compatibility and high delivery rates

  • Ability to be roll-up-the-sleeves and hands-on with all projects large and small
  • Use web analytics systems particularly Google Analytics and Facebooks Ads
  • Proven ability to work fast, particularly in a fast-changing industry
  • Up to date on digital marketing trends and knowledge of digital consumer behavior
  • Ability to use research data to derive strategies/solutions for digital projects
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to find solutions
